Legendary motortechnik Giancarlo Morbidelli died at the age of 85 years

Motomaster, monocontractor, motogenic and a very talented man Giancarlo Morbidelli died age 85 in a hospital in Fano, Italy. He succumbed to a long illness and left behind a great legacy.

Franco is most famous for the development of the motorcycle Grand Prix. His techniques were many Italian legends including Paolo Pileri, pier Paolo Bianchi and Mario Lega. Graziano Rossi, father of Valentino, also raced on Morbidelli.

Morbidelli did not know what to give up. In the 90s even developed a 850-CC V8 engine.

In 1999, Franco opened a Museum “Museo Morbidelli” in Pizarro, where he was exposed to more than 350 motorcycles that Morbidelli collected and constructed during the life. Unfortunately, in 2019, the Museum eliminated, and the collection sold at auction.
